Artist’s Statement
I delight in adding intense color and personality to my still life
subjects. I’m a studio painter, but have been known to ‘sneak’ in some
outdoor painting time with activities going on around me, and once a
week find myself painting with the “Wednesday Women of Watercolor” at
University Art in San Jose.
Although I only discovered my love affair with watercolor in 2003, I
find that my 27 years in the Graphic Communications Field has provided
me with a highly developed eye for color and design. I’m excited about
the exquisite way that the watercolor media allows me to blend and
build with liquidity.
I always knew I would be an Artist. I just never knew how much I wanted
to be a Painter! I love to paint and I paint what I love... food,
floral, western, and sport themes call to me to be captured. I get
excited about color and I’m told my vivid paintings show it.
